A Dream Come True for Equestrians in RDR2!
Howdy y'all! Today I’m diving into one of the most exciting updates we’ve had in RedM: the brand-new Version 3 of Sire's Horse Breeding Script. This update adds over 300 new horse coat variations to the game. If you love RDR2 horses or have always wanted a real equestrian experience in RedM, this is a game-changer.
For a long time, we dreamed of having a script like this in our RedM server, one that gives horses real genetics, depth, and personality. We wanted players to experience horses in a way where every foal is unique and every breeding choice matters.

Anyone who loves RDR2 horses can step into Rift Redm and enjoy the thrill of raising foals, experimenting with coat genetics, and watching bloodlines unfold just like in real equestrian breeding.
This is a complete equestrian RedM experience made for people who truly love horses. Seeing so many riders, breeders, and horse lovers join in and enjoy it with us has been the most rewarding part of having this script.
Over 300 New Coats in RedM

Version 3 brings more coat options than ever before. Whether you’re after a smoky black overo, a rose gray dun, or want to try custom coats, (Yes, you can create your own CUSTOM HORSES) there’s a huge variety to explore. Custom coats can’t be passed down directly, but the genetics system still tracks the base coat and genes, making breeding feel very realistic.
The Thrill of Horse Genetics in RDR2
If you’ve ever been interested in coat color genetics, you’ll feel right at home here. Every foal starts with a base color, either red/chestnut or black. You also have bay and dominant white. Other modifiers and kit genes, such as cream, dun, silver, or roan, can alter the foal's appearance. Paint patterns like tobiano and overo add even more variety, making your stable feel like a real breeding barn. Some genes will be expressed while others remain hidden. That unpredictability is what makes foal crops in RedM so addictive; you never quite know if you’ll get the flashy coat you were hoping for or a surprise you didn’t see coming.

More Than Just Colors: Stats and Personality
What makes The Rift’s equestrian RedM breeding system even more immersive is that horses don’t just pass on colors. Foals inherit stats, height, and even personalities. From aloof and fearless to playful or dangerous, each personality changes how your horse interacts with you. Some may spook, buck, or roll in the mud, while others stay cool and steady.
This means every foal is more than just a new coat. Each one offers a unique riding experience.
Community Breeding Projects
Here’s where you come in. I don’t want this to be just my breeding project; I want it to be ours. In my video, I asked viewers to vote on which breed and coat we should try next. From Arabians and Pintabians to Mustangs and Appaloosas, there are so many choices. Should we go for a dapple gray Warmblood or a champagne Mustang? It’s up to you.
Drop your suggestions in the comments, and together we’ll shape the future of Rift’s foal crops.
